Just ran a search on LZ Russell to see what was on the web. Ended up in 1st Marine Div. 8" guns when Hotel was sent to Okinawa in 11/69. After I was in Okinawa a week, I asked to be sent back to Nam. I did not like the state side type of duty, or going back aboard those ships we left Nam on.
