William Harris - Hotel Battery 3/12 Radio Operator, was on the LZ when we got hit and was med-evaced to the rear. He is retired and living in Leasburg, MO. Bill Wachli - At the time Russell was hit, Bill was S-3/A on LZ Alpine at a forward FDC. “We fired in support of Neville that night when we stepped in it. I took over Hotel Battery on Russell as CO shortly thereafter until some new Captains rotated in. I was 1st Lt at the time. I then went to Golf battery as the XO where I finished my tour in Nam.” Bill is working as a self employed project manager, living in Wadsworth, Ohio Scott Gregersen was senior corpsman attached to Hotel Battery, 3/12 in July, of 1969. Scott retired as a Navy Captain and is living in West Sacramento, California. Sam Yarosh was with Weapon’s Platoon, ¾. He arrived to help rebuild LZ Russell in March of 1969. He is living in Seffner, Florida.
