I never had the opportunity to meet him, and I don't really know very much about
him. All I have to remember him by is the obituary of his death, and the flag
that covered his coffin. Its been 33 years since his death and I would love to
learn more about the man that was and is my father. Every time I visit his
grave, I hope to run into someone that knew him, someone from the family that I
was never a part of. He is a grandfather of two wonderful boys that would love
to learn more about their grandfather.

Ray was a great cousin. Even though we were younger than him when we came for a
visit he always had time for us. If it was playing games in the backyard or
going to the store over the bridge of acid (ha-ha) he was the greatest!

I was a close friend to rays younger brother. When ray was killed I was
there when his brother was told about it.I remember how it affected him and I
will never forget how crushed he was about it. I want to thank the family
and to let them know that ray has stayed on my mind over the years. It was
men like him that made life here in the us the way it is today. He is in a
better place now and may he rest in peace, Mark Pelkey.
