Wheels For Humanity is a non-profit organization dedicated to the collection of wheelchairs for distribution to people in developing countries of the world.   

Each year in the United States, tens of thousands of wheelchairs are thrown away and end up in landfills.  Over 300,000 are retired into attics, basements and back closets.  WFH has as its goal to put these discarded wheelchairs back into service. 

WFH distributed over 250 wheelchairs at the Bach Mai Rehabilitation Center in Hanoi in March 2000.  They will take a delivery of wheelchairs to Da Nang General Hospital in March 2001.
