East Meets West is an International Humanitarian Relief Service in Vietnam.  It is a non-profit organization that partners with the people of Vietnam to improve their health, education and economic conditions in an effort to ease poverty and to encourage self-sufficiency. 

East Meets West is involved with projects in many parts of Vietnam; Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Da Nang, and Dong Ha/Quang Tri.  Their projects are diversified and include; water projects in remote villages, building houses for individual families, sponsor orphanages, build schools, provide dental and medical care for children, and in January 2001 they completed and opened the doors of the Learning Resource Center in Da Nang.  This Center has 160 Dell Computer workstations complete with internet access. 

In 2000 EMWF sent a full-time volunteer representative, John Ward to Quang Tri Prov- ince.  The activities he coordinates include the building of water systems, one room kindergartens, homes for families, and pedestrian bridges.
