LZ RUSSELL 40th Anniversary Tour

Feb 24th & 25th 2009

Start Feb 17th 2009 and ends when you decide to go home.

This tour celebrates the 40th year since LZ Russell and LZ Neville were attacked and is open to everyone, members, spouses, friends....everyone.  For our members, this is the trip of a lifetime!

The prime focus of this tour is the ascent to the top of LZ Russell and spend the night, but you need not feel obligated to participate.  Digital Video cameras will document the whole thing and you can snicker at their blisters while you watch the video at the hotel.  Skip is screaming that he wants to hire a 6-man rickshaw to pull him up the hill, but we plan to drug him before he can embarrass everyone.

Sane people may be satisfied just to soak up the thousand year history and the beauty and culture of today's Vietnam with friends who remember how it was back in 1969.  Da Nang, Quang Tri, Dong Ha, Cam Lo, the Rock Pile, Vandergrift...all are easily accessable to you while the crazies go up to LZ Russell.  And after the ascent, we can plan trips and tours together.  Some will stay for a month, while others may stay for a week.  Some may tour Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan on their way home.  It is up to you.  But the important thing is that we are together for this 40th Anniversary of the battle so many of us shared.  Lets face it, this may be our last chance to do this together.

All the guys and ladies who have made the trip say it is a fantastic adventure.  Prices in Vietnam are much lower than they are here, so your money goes a long way to making it a fun trip.

This is a partial list of members who are already planning on making the tour & possibly even attacking the hill, even before this web page was posted.  We hope you and yours join us for this fantastic climax to our very unique Vietnam Experience.
